Martin Dawes: Chairman
Founder of the Martin Dawes group of companies and Chairman of Martin Dawes Systems, Martin played a pivotal role in pioneering Europe’s mobile telecommunications industry. Martin has had an active involvement in the communications industry over three decades and is one of the UK's few telecommunications entrepreneurs to consistently achieve a high level of success.
Martin Dawes Telecommunications (MDT) was established in the mid-1980s and quickly became a leading player in this mobile telecommunications service provision sector. Martin achieved this success through constant innovation, reading the market and identifying the key opportunities.
Through the success of MDT, Martin went on to establish operations in Australia and South Africa which, together with the European operations, grew rapidly and established themselves as major players in their respective markets. MDT was subsequently sold to BT and Martin retained its innovative IT division to establish Martin Dawes Systems.
Martin continues to play an active role in the company, ensuring the entrepreneurial spirit continues to drive us.
