Network Convergence

After the introduction of the plain old telephone service (POTS), telecommunications enjoyed steady but uneventful development for some decades. Then the industry witnessed a massive surge.

In the last 30 years communication technologies, including the introduction of digital mobile phone service, the Internet, the mobile internet, high speed internet through digital subscriber lines (DSL) plus WiFi and WiMAX, have all emerged. Similarly, terrestrial TV is being supplanted by satellite and cable services. Martin Dawes Systems is fully compliant in supporting these technologies and services through diseMP, and confident in supporting the 4G services on the horizon. Existing customers currently offer a mixture of mobile, fixed-line, WiFi, broadband and VoIP services.

Commercial Convergence

Customers expect a unified bill when taking multi-service offerings. The powerful diseMP billing and rating engine is able to consolidate all chargeable events into a single invoice. The bill format can be configured to present a detailed breakdown of the charges or simply offer the total.

Billing Convergence

Market forces and new regulations are blurring the divisions between prepaid and postpaid subscriptions. Hosting multiple systems for differing subscription types adds cost and complexity to subscriber management and customer service. diseMP, a truly convergent billing and CRM solution, can offer hybrid services on a unified database and a single point of customer care.

Product Convergence

diseMP was designed from the outset to facilitate provisioning of multi-service offerings such as triple play (broadband, fixed-line telephony and TV), quad play (triple play plus mobile telephony service) and fixed-mobile convergence (a combined fixed-line and mobile telephony service employing VoIP and DSL). In addition, diseMP will support provisioning of private and virtual private wires to link business landline phones directly into the mobile network. This creates a Mobile Virtual Private Network (MVPN) of fixed-line and mobile users who benefit from reduced rate calls and short code dialling functionality.
